Donation Program Details
My vision is to harness the power of the Internet and couple
it with the combined buying power of 10 million university students
and 43 million parents of the secondary school students. During
the course of their educational careers, the students and their
parents will be using the afflilate company's products and services
to generate the contributions that will build the future educational
infrastructure necessary for the next generation's success.
The donation program works on the affiliate program referral
fees generated by the affiliate companies that are linked to
my company. Every time a customer clicks on an affiliate company
icon and purchases a service or product, there is a referral
fee of varying percentages to be generated by that sale. While
I have made all attempts to select only companies that offer
a referral fee, they can change their policy at will, and also
change their percentages of their referral fees on their products
and services as well. Thus companies may be changed or removed
from time to time to make sure that all generate affiliate referral
revenue. All disclaimers asides, all purchases from our afflilate
companies will have a referral fee unless stated otherwise.
With that said, most of the purchases generate a referral fee
from which my company VIDA Knowledge™ collects a small
profit that I then donate a portion to a school or charity of
the customer's choice. We ask that each customer who makes a
purchase send us an e-mail at the time of purchase indicating
where they would want the allocated percentage of our net profit
from the potential referral fee donated as well as which company's
banner was used since each has a different referral fee percentage.
The allocated percentage of net profits which may be donated
are 10% of our net profit from the potential referral fee if
the donation is going to a university, scholarship, or school,
or charity. We are using the rest of the fees to develop the
technology services and products that enable students to be
able to access their curriculum electronically both in visual
and audio format. Depending on the company banner selected,
the shared donation can range from one to six percent of the
product or service price.
We will take each one of the individual donation e-mail requests
and verify the referral fees by confirming the cancelled checks
sent by the affiliate companies to officers at VIDA Knowledge™
and combine only the e-mail requests that have confirmed referral
fees attached to them at the end of each quarter after we have
determined our net profits. We will generally do this at the
end of each fiscal quarter since it is the best time to determine
the receipt of referral fees, our costs, and net profit. This
timing also permits us to group proposed donations to each entity,
resulting in potentially larger lump sum checks to receiving
organizations that have multiple proposed contributions.
We are working on automating this task in the future. However,
for now we are asking each person to send an e-mail to one of
four categories depending on where they want their donation
sent:
